Whats in it?

Addiction Ease is comprised of three Amino Acids important in Neurotransmitter production in the brain. Phenylalanine (750mg), Tyrosine (500mg) and Glutamine (750 mg).  More on this in The Science Behind Addiction Ease and Why We're Different

What are Amino Acids?

Amino Acids are the building blocks of proteins, but they have another very significant role.  They are the precursor building blocks for the synthesis of many chemicals called neurotransmitters, in the brain.  Neurotransmitters are the means by which brain cells communicates with each other and are commonly deficient in someone suffering from addiction.  Amino acids are separated into 2 main categories, essential amino acids and non-essential amino acids.  Essential amino acids are amino acids that your body needs but cannot produce by itself, therefore they are supplied by either your diet or by taking the appropriate vitamins.  Non-essential amino acids are produced by the body and are usually readily available.  Sometimes when your body is depleted of vital nutrients, as is the case in many people suffering from addiction, you will need an extra supply of these non-essential amino acids either through diet or vitamin intake.

Biology of the Brain

The Biology of Addiction is traced back to our most primal desires for food, water and sex.  When humans acquire these, neurotransmitters stimulate the “reward” or “pleasure centers” of the brain.  Your brain’s ability to inherently remember these pleasure producing stimuli is important for not only happiness and well being, but also for survival.   Addictive behaviors arise when there is a deficiency in this reward system.  The normal, healthy stimuli for producing pleasure is replaced by other harmful substances or behaviors such as Tobacco, Alcohol,  Drugs, and Gambling or Excessive amounts or normally healthy stimuli such as Food and Sex.  Addiction Ease targets these deficiencies, restoring the brain chemicals to their natural state.

The Science Behind Addiction Ease

The two neurotransmitters most closely associated with addiction are Dopamine and GABA.  Dopamine is primarily responsible for stimulating pleasure, while GABA has been shown to inhibit the behavioral and biochemical effects associated with addiction.  Addictive behaviors cause an excessive amount of Dopamine to stimulate the brain.  In the absence of the addictive substance or behavior, the Dopamine levels of the brain drop, leading to cravings, depression, and other withdrawal symptoms.  Dopamine and GABA must be produced in the brain, so the only way to stimulate this production is by making the building blocks readily available.  Addiction Ease is composed of the essential building blocks necessary to restore harmony in the brain.

Phenylalanine and Tyrosine are both the building blocks for Dopamine production and Glutamine is a direct precursor of GABA production.  By taking Addiction Ease, you supply your body with the amino acids essential in restoring brain chemicals, to Ease Cravings, Pain, Depression and other Withdrawal Symptoms while at the same time Increasing Energy and Mental Focus!  It’s the science that makes the Addiction Ease Difference

Supplemental Ingredient

Restored Brain Chemical

Addictive Substance Abuse

Amino Acid Deficiency Symptoms

Expected Behavior Change

D-Phenylalanine or DL-Phenylalanine

Enkephalins
Endorphins

Heroin, Alcohol, Marijuana, Sweets, Starches, Chocolate, Tobacco

Most Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) conditions sensitive to physical or emotional pain. Crave comfort and pleasure. Desire certain food or drugs.

Reward stimulation. Anti-craving. Mild anti-depression. Mild improved energy and focus. D-Phenylalanine promotes pain relief, increases pleasure.

L-Phenylalanine or L-Tyrosine

Norepinephrine
Dopamine

Caffeine, Speed, Cocaine, Marijuana, Aspartame, Chocolate, Alcohol, Tobacco, Sweets, Starches

Most Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) conditions. Depression, low energy. Lack of focus and concentration. Attention-deficit disorder.

Reward stimulation. Anti-craving. Anti-depression. Increased energy. Improved mental focus.

L-Glutamine

GABA (mild enhancement)
Fuel source for entire brain

Sweets, Starches, Alcohol

Stress. Mood swings. Hypoglycemia.

Anti-craving, anti-stress. Levels blood sugar and mood. GABA (mild enhancement). Fuel source for entire brain.

*Note: To assist in amino-acid nutritional therapy, the use of a multi-vitamin/mineral formula is recommended. Many vitamins and minerals serve as co-factors in neurotransmitter synthesis. They also serve to restore general balance, vitality and well-being to the Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RSD) patient who typically is in a state of poor nutritional health

Why We're Different

Our vitamins are manufactured in a state of the art facility where quality is key.  No unnecessary processing or additives.  Its the science that makes the Addiction Ease difference.  Many products on the market today are seemingly random blends of herbs said to have "calming effects".  These products have little or no scientific backing and are usually twice the cost.  Here at Addiction Ease, our goal is to provide the best quality product based on the current scientific data available.  Just exactly what you need, when you need it.  Addiction Ease provides the exact amino acids your body needs in a high enough dose to actually make a change.  Most amino acid supplements on the market either contain multiple amino acids in very small doses, or single amino acids (up to 500mg), requiring purchase of multiple products.  In order to ease your cravings and other withdrawal symptoms, your body needs a constant amount of these essential building blocks in a high enough dose to elicit change.  Addiction Ease contains 750mg of both Phenylalanine and Glutamine and 500mg of Tyrosine PER SERVING!  The exact standards set by Dr. Jay Holder, co-founder of the American College of Addiction and Compulsive Disorders (ACACD).  More packed into Less!!!

What is a Nutraceutical?

Simply put, a Neutraceutical is a vitamin taken in order to elicit a pharmaceutical like change in the body.  In the case of Addiction Ease , both natural occurring and manufactured amino acids taken at a high dose actual change brain chemistry, ease cravings, depression and withdrawal symptoms, while increasing energy and mental focus!

Are there any Side Effects?

Because Addiction Ease contains amino acids readily used by your body, taken in the recommended doses should produce no side effects.  If taken in excess, side effects may include upset stomach, headache, insomnia, rapid heart and increased blood pressure.  Consult your doctor if you have PKU, a cardiovascular condition, are taking medication, or are a woman pregnant or lactating.
